HMI is a flagship livelihood & craft development
Hand Made in India (HMI) is a flagship livelihood and craft development initiative implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) with support from HSBC.
Rooted in the rich textile and artisan heritage of India, the project works directly with handloom weavers and artisans from the culturally significant clusters of Bhuj in Gujarat and Erode in Tamil Nadu.
It aims to revive and strengthen India’s traditional handloom sector by addressing the deep-rooted challenges that often restrict the growth of artisan communities across the country.
